Juxtapose
"To place close together or side
by side, for comparison or contrast"
Under her alter-ego, Saman'i, a recent
collaboration with DJ Tina Martin led to the formation
of a new duo "Juxtapose" in Jan 2009 at
Ministry of Sound. A contrast of blonde and brunette,
but side by side both the highly passionate Dj's of
all things house and techno, have decided to collaborate
their skills, knowledge and accomplishments of a collective
8 years that they've been performing, to form a new
and fresh innovative act.
Tina Martin, who has had success with
"Blow your Ears" production (Pedro Delgardo
and Tina Martin remix) which was recommended and played
in Ibiza by Carl Cox himself in the summer of 2008.
Not to mention playing at the likes of Es Paradis
(Ibiza), The Gallery (Ministry of Sound) and Queensday
outdoor dance event (Amsterdam).
It seems that this terrible twosome
realise two heads are better than one! With future
bookings confirmed already at Juicy event @The Whitehouse
(Clapham), Nature one festival (Holland), Twilo @
Pacha nightclub, Random@ Hush (IBIZA) and debut re-appearance
at Electronic Sessions Boat parties & the Gallery
events held at the Ministry of Sound in August, it
seems 2009 is one to watch for the double act divas!
Expect to hear the latest driving dirty techno &
tech-house to keep your blood pumping.
Aspiring Artists
Tiefswcharz, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin,
Dubfire, Magda, Luciano, Danny Howells.
Promoter Quotes
Ross Sulivan - Electronic Sessions:
"Samani is definately a Dj i expect to go onto
big things in 2009. She did us proud at Plastic Fondu
with a fantastic set at Ministry Of Sound and we have
not hesitated in offering her a gig at one of our
infamous ES (Electronic Sessions) Boat parties in
May"
Simon Cockram - Raw Filth:
"Recent exquisite Djing performances from Saman'i
have torn up the dancefloor at RAW FILTH events. Her
superior understanding of what will keep the party
rocking along with being a complete performer behind
the decks means that bookings for 2009 will be much
in demand. Already confirmed is Ministry of Sound,
Charley's Angels in Ibiza, the launch of her night
Lunar plus the Raw Filth monthly residency - she certainly
is one to watch
in more ways than one"
Shaun Southall - Erotique:
"EROTiQUE resident Samani had an incredible 2007
and is quickly making 2008 a year to remember too!
Having played for the likes of Tidy vs Extreme Euphoria
at Heaven & Guilfest alongside Stanton Warriors,
she's a regular for the likes of Pushca, Qudos and
Voodoo Dolls and is also getting ready for Ibiza with
gigs for Charleyz Angels at Play2. Such musical talent
combined with her bejewelled headphones and stunning
looks means drooling over Samanis sets is pretty much
a pre-requisite"
